Ancestor Altar Course

Dates: November 2,9,16, 23, and 30 2024  
Schedule: Saturdays from 2:00 PM - 4:30 PM EST

This five-week intensive Ancestor Altar Course is designed to guide you through the sacred process of creating an ancestor altar and connecting with your ancestors. Whether you are new to ancestral veneration or looking to deepen your existing practice, this course will provide the foundational knowledge and practices necessary to honor your lineage and receive their wisdom and blessings.

If your Ancestors step forward, Ms. Exantus will be channeling with them to deliver any messages, etc. Be open to any rituals or requests that your Ancestors may have for you.

Week 1: Introduction to Ancestor Altars (November 2)

  - Understanding the purpose and significance of an ancestor altar.
  - The cultural and historical context of ancestor veneration.
  - Preparing your space and gathering materials.

Week 2: Building Your Altar (November 9)

  - Step-by-step instructions for setting up your altar.
  - Selecting and placing items: photos, offerings, and sacred objects.
  - Rituals and prayers to initiate your altar.

- Activities:
  - Guided meditation to connect with your ancestral lineage.
  - Interactive Q&A session.

Week 3: Connecting with Your Ancestors (November 16)

  - Techniques for communicating with your ancestors.
  - Understanding signs and messages from the spiritual realm.
  - Maintaining and evolving your altar.

Week 4: Deepening Your Practice (November 23)

  - Advanced practices for deepening your connection.
  - Addressing challenges and staying committed to your practice.
  - Creating a long-term plan for ancestral veneration.

- Activities:
  - Guided visualization exercises.

Week 5 Final Class (November 30)

   - Final Q&A and course reflections.

Please note: The cost of this course does not cover any materials needed, such as a table, offerings, etc. Participants are responsible for providing their own materials.

Materials Needed

- An area in your home for an altar
- A table
- Pictures of loved ones who have passed on (pets are okay)
- A feather (say to the universe, "I am ready to receive my feather for the Ancestor Altar course")
- A glass for water
- An earth element (plant, crystals, etc.)
- A white candle

Important Considerations

- Each participant should be open to various rituals and tasks requested by their ancestors.
- There is no guarantee that your ancestor will step forward during the course, but it is important to remain focused and steadfast in your practice and continue pursuing the creation of your altar.
